Mitchell “Chikoy” Domingo

Mitchell “Chikoy” Domingo finishes a long and complex time studying fine arts in the Philippines. A painting major from the University of the East, Chikoy didn’t stop to enter different art media. Now pursuing a career in the digital arts, specifically Film, He thrives to express what his mind wants other people to see. He also bags major awards from the field of Printmaking and Photography. As an artist, he doesn’t limit himself from what’s normal and most of the time trying anything unconventional.  As he learns more about his views in art, he will continue to thrive in a career where his goals continue and his life expands to the beauty of it.

Now pursuing and continuing what he have already started in the small region of Macau, Chikoy hopes that one day, his art will be part of the small but big city of mixed cultures and ideas.

Still in the early age of his career, Chikoy had achieved some special recognition from his days as a student:

– Everyone’s Vision Petron Grand Prize for Printmaking Category (2012) Entitled Pawikan and Change

-Standard Chartered Banks’ Timeless Vision Photography Competition Finalist for Heritage Category (2012) entitled Kakaning Pinoy

-PLDT National Visual Arts Competition Top 50 (2013) entitled Calle Fiesta

-UE Certificate of Recognition for Exemplary Performance in the Visual Arts (2009 and 2013)

-National Parks Development Committee’s MakaCLICKasan Photo Contest Top 13 (2012)

-Cinesilangan Film Festival Best in Sound Editing (2013) for the short film “Aswe”
