Catarina was born in Cascais, Portugal and moved to Macau when she was 16. Since then she has worked as a model, actress and designer in Hong Kong, China, Macau, Sweden and Brazil.

She is a self taught designer with her own label, Catarina Veiga Designs, and created her first collection of evening wear dresses in 2002. She not only designs the clothes, but personally chooses all the fabrics, works closely with the manufacturers at every stage of production, and models her own creations.

She completed her second collection featuring a range of elegant smart casual wear in 2003.

She hopes to continue developing her design skills and her fashion label business here in Macau, marketing to individual clients in Guangzhou, Hong Kong and Macau.
