David K. K. Chio

David was born in Macau in 1957, and is a civil servant of the Macao SAR Government. He has earned a Master’s Degree in Education and a Master’s Degree in Business Administration as well as a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration and Higher Diploma in Social Work. David has a lot of enthusiasm for art and has studied abstract painting under the guidance of Macao contemporary artist, Denis Murrell and the artists of ‘The Art of Lingnan School’ Dr. Lei Chau Peng and Chinese Calligrapher Mr. Choi Chun Heng and the Headmistress of the Pui Wa Flora School, Ms. Cindy Chau, amongst others.

David received a merit award of  “The Floral Friendship Competition of Civil Servants of the Macao SAR” in 2010 and was the third prize-winner of  “Green City–Landscape Design Contest” in 2011. He has been participating  in Chinese Calligraphy and Painting Exhibitions since 2019.
